I have known you for so long,

       yet never really known you at all.

               I knew you knew Him,

                    even when you chose to hide in that far corner,

                          and I had no option but to comply.

                                Then,

                                      you met someone

                                            that I came so very close to meeting,

                                                   but never quite managed to say "hello."

                                                           I sensed his presence,

                                                                   but was too broken

                                                                         by the demise of my own love

                                                                               to become acquainted with the love

                                                                                      now budding in your life.

                                                                                He led you back

                                                                       to the place it all began;

                                                               encouraged you to focus on

                                                      that part of you almost departed.

                                               Now, with the past in question;

                                       the present anything,

                                 but what you have planned;

                          the future uncertain,

                    perhaps, not going at all

              where you desired;

                    in Heaven,

                          there is great rejoicing

                                for the lamb that is found;

                                      the coin that was misplaced;

                                             the daughter who has returned

                                                    to the Father of Abraham,

                                                           the God of her youth....
