"The Way We Are"

A couple of years, or three ago,

I bought a CB radio.

I'd lost my mind some folks might say,

A silly game for a grown man to play.

A Lynx 23 and a Lolly Pop,

Crazy Horse, Organ Grinder, and Soda Pop.

A Ham ll rotor and a Moon Raker 4,

Frog Legs, Tadpole, Big Daddy, and more.

A Pace, a HiGain, and a Browning Mark lll,

Playboy, White Horse, Southern Belle, and me.

A Skipper Three Hundred, don't you know?

We could talk to the desert and the land of snow.

Caveman, Dodge Boy, and Rafter "B",

Sunshine, and Go Go, don't you see?

How many Green Stamps does it take,

To key a mic and get a break?

You can spend a few or all you've got,

To say hello on frequency is worth a lot.

Phantom 250, and Squeeky "D",

6-1 in Chicago, just to name three.

Redbird, Yellowbird, and Papa Duck Tucker,

Windmill, Tomboy, Race Horse, and Trucker.

Chambermaid, Butler, and 733,

Bobcat, Pack Rat, and Bumble Bee.

Angel Tucker wrote a song,

And at Pebble Beach, we sang along.

Of "Moments To Remember" we are well aware -

You missed it all if you weren't there.

Levi's and Lace were on the stand,

Donna, Charles, Randy, and some guy named Dan.

Bullshippers, Tuckers, Channel Fivers all,

Getting together and standing tall.

Angel, Baldy, Frenchy, and Jan,

Quicksilver, Alfie, and old Frogman.

Mama Snuffy has an eagle, Mazie an old Yeasu,

Tucker has a Joe Gun, might as well be a CLR 2.

This poem's in fun, not meant to offend,

And very soon it will come to an end.

You're our brothers and sisters across the land,

Always willing to lend a helping hand.

On business or five or down below,

It makes no difference where you go.

Some have been mentioned, but more left out,

If your name's not here, don't go and pout.

We'll love you all till the end of time,

Regardless of this terrible rhyme.
